Gabriel Martinelli made a strong start for Brazil against Chile, and following a cameo appearance, he was promoted to full international status. 

The 20-year-old Arsenal midfielder has been a fixture for Brazil's Under-23 team, and was a member of the team that won Gold at the 2020 Summer Olympics. 

Martinelli was called up to Tite's Brazil side less than a year later, following a string of impressive performances for Arsenal.
