Chelsea Supporters’ Trust issue statement voicing concerns over Ricketts family bid for Chelsea

Some Chelsea fans have criticized the latter for reported comments made by Joe Ricketts in which he referred to Muslims as "his adversary," even going so far as to call Islam "a cult and not a religion." 

As a result, the CST has expressed concern about the family's values and expressed reservations about their consistency with the club's ideals. 

The Trust revealed they spoke with the family earlier this week in a statement on Twitter, but added that "our worries regarding their ability to manage an inclusive successful club on behalf of our varied supporter base throughout the world have not yet been allayed."
